Those who are interested can sign up by texting @b2cdh0 to 81010; they do not have to reply with their name.

The Summer Lunch Program is funded through the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Since the program started in 2015,  Keystone Oaks has distributed nearly 32,000 lunches during the Summer Lunch Program.

Grant Runner-Up Announcement

We are happy to announce that the Community Library of Castle Shannon has been awarded a $1,000 grant from the Penguin Random House Foundation to help with our “Feed the Minds” program. This program will help us distribute books to the children in the community this summer. We will be using this grant specifically in the Alvern Gardens Apartment Community this year. We are looking forward to getting out in the community and sharing a love for reading with the kids.

Little Free Library

The Castle Shannon Library is excited to announce that we have purchased a Little Free Library that is located at the Borough Building.

What is a Little Free Library, you ask?

A Little Free Library is a “take a book, return a book” free book exchange. They come in many shapes and sizes, but the most common version is a small wooden box of books. Anyone may take a book or bring a book to share.
