“Unearth A Story” at the Library This Summer with Our Reading Challenge for Children, Teens & Adults!

“Unearth A Story” this summer with our Summer Reading Challenge!

We are offering 3 different youth challenges from birth to 18. Stop into the Library to sign-up and start reading for prizes!

We are also offering an Adult Summer Reading Challenge. To get started, stop by the library and pick up a challenge sheet. Complete at least 13 of the 15 challenges, then return your sheet and you will be entered into a drawing for one of three prizes.

The Summer Reading Program will run until Friday, August 7th!

We Are Looking for a New Member for the Board of Trustees!

The Board of Trustees for the Community Library of Castle Shannon is currently seeking a new member to serve on the Board. As a Trustee, you can help shape the Library’s mission and vision, champion new library programs and services, provide financial oversight and strategic guidance, and, most importantly advocate for our Library–keeping the Library strong for generations to come!

The service term of a Trustee is three years.

Our Library, along with other Allegheny County libraries are offering FREE ADMISSION for four people to a number of museums and historical sites around Pittsburgh!

Each pass can be checked out for up to a week at a time.

Come out to support the Library on Thursday, August 27th from 4pm-8pm at the Collier/Bridgeville location of Dee Jay’s. 20% of sales get donated back to us!
