Who are the Friends? The Friends of the Castle Shannon Library finance special programs and major events for the library throughout the year. They support the library through fundraising and volunteer activities. These activities include the Summer Reading Program, the Halloween Parade and decorations for several holidays.

How Do I Become a Friend? You can help support the Library and become a member. Volunteer to help out a few hours a year at our annual fundraising events and/or by providing a monetary donation. Become a Friend of the Community Library of Castle Shannon by completing this 2024 Membership Form.

Please designate the Friends of the Community Library of Castle Shannon for your United Way contribution. Please use the code number 10319077 when making your contribution.

20+ Tables to Shop From, Refreshments, Bake Sale & 50/50

Tables are SOLD OUT.

Have you started your spring cleaning? Do you have things you don’t need anymore but don’t want to throw away?

The Friends of the Library are looking for donations for their upcoming Flea Market.

Please consider donating the following things to the sale:

Small appliances, unique items, vases, cookware, household items, home decor, sports equipment, small up to date electronic items, musical instruments that will sell for a minimum of $2.

They are not accepting clothing and shoes, health and beauty items, stuffed animals, video or cassette tapes, computers, monitors, televisions, computer keyboards or anything dirty, broken or smells musty.

If you wouldn’t buy it please don’t expect someone else to.

Please leave items on the red cart by the lower level elevator entrance by Tuesday, April 9th.
