For the second consecutive year, Keystone Oaks School District is sponsoring a Summer Lunch Program. Beginning June 13, 2016, a free nutritious bagged lunch will be available to any child under the age of 18 from any community each weekday at 6 locations. “This program helps to ensure that children living in and around the Keystone Oaks School District have access to a filling, nutritious lunch,” said Kevin Lloyd, Keystone Oaks Director of Food Services. “We are excited to host the Summer Food Program again this year and are grateful to the host sites and community partners for helping make this program available.”
No photo identification or sign up is required in order for children to be able to receive a lunch. The District has set up a voluntary text message service, where children 13 years of age or order and their parents/guardians can sign up to receive updates about the program. Those who are interested can sign up by texting @2016SLP to 81010; they do not have to reply with their name.
The Summer Lunch Program is funded through the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Last year, Keystone Oaks distributed more than 6,000 lunches during the Summer Lunch Program.

The Castle Shannon Library is excited to announce that we have purchased a Little Free Library that is located at the Borough Building.
What is a Little Free Library, you ask?
A Little Free Library is a “take a book, return a book” free book exchange. They come in many shapes and sizes, but the most common version is a small wooden box of books. Anyone may take a book or bring a book to share.
Online donations are now being accepted for the library. Please click the button below to place your donation.
Our bins are located in the lower parking lot in the back of the library.
Once again, the Library will receive money for the recycling we collect! Also, cardboard and phone books are now on the approved list of materials!
Thank you for your support.
